So I am thinking about getting the G3258 because of it's crazy cheap price and overclocking capabilities. Before I buy it I want to know how much I can ACTUALLY get out of it.
I plan on getting the Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO. Would this CPU Cooler be enough to OC the G3258 to 4.7Ghz? Could I get to this and stay in the 70° range?
Also, I am new to overclocking so I would like to know if I need to get new thermal paste, case fans, etc.
EDIT: If the Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO is not good enough should I think about getting something like the Noctua NH-D14 for 35 bucks more or the Cooler Master Hyper 212 Plus for 5 bucks more. I should also mention I live near a Microcenter so I am getting the g3258 for $60. So with that in mind is it smart to be paying the same or more then the actual CPU cost on the CPU Cooler?
