I'm in a position where I can buy those are they worth it?
are there any changes in performance (not just color)?
because I'm thinking to use it to cool my heatsink (planning to buy a noctua D15 and buy 2 of those and use the D15's stock fans as front fans)

are they of the same performance with the much hated beige colored fans?

its just that the name "redux" is causing a great concern for me as its kinda unexplained not to mention there still aren't ANY english reviews on it or benchmarks on how it stacks up against its own and other fans in different usage scenarios (at least on my own search)

My understanding is that the "Redux" title is due to a reduction of all the bells and whistles that come with the standard Noctua fans - extenders, splitters, etc. Nothing to do with the build or quality of the fan itself. This is to reduce the price to make them more widely available. According to the specs I could find, the S12B Redux-1200 has the same CFM as the S12B FLX or PWM. Same for the 140s, but the Redux models come with more RPM variants.

while true that its just a reduction of the "bells and whistles" like the extenders, splitters fans etc...

I kind of find this sort of a deal breaker as I want the latest gen of "technology" behind the fans (whatever that is) since this video pretty much points out the difference between the two...
