Hello,

My computer shuts down after 30 minutes (exact) of being turned on. I have had it sit in BIOS for 30 minutes, in windows 30 minutes, gaming 30 minutes, it doesn't matter.

I have updated the BIOS doesn't make a difference. Changed power supplies, no difference. It is not a heat issue as it runs under 50C.

I am stumped. I am wondering if anyone has experienced this or might have some reccomendations.

Thank you

I'm having the same problem with the same Asrock board. Considering this makes the comp unusable, what have you all done to fix the issue now that it's been several months? I've already gotten my PSU replaced... Motherboard now?

Thanks

In Windows 7, I would go to: Event Viewer :: Windows Logs :: System.

From there you can see what the computer/laptop was doing prior to shutting down (look at time column). Might good to check the Application events too. For all I know, if it's not a power-supply (DC in / Battery) or heating issue then a software is killing a critical Windows process and this will shutdown your computer. Might be good to do a test with Anti-virus and Firewall completely removed (turn off wifi too).

I've been having the same issue after upgrading from a Pentium to an i7.
After I switched back to the original CPU the problem stopped.
I've been doing a lot of research and it seems that the issue is actually with the Intel Management Engine.
If you've never heard of it, don't be surprised, neither had I.
It's a subsystem on the newer (2008+) processors that performs tasks during boot-up, while the computer is running, and while it is asleep.
The Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF) and security expert Damien Zammit accuse the ME of being a backdoor and a privacy concern.
In 2016, the me_cleaner project found that the ME's integrity verification is broken. The ME is supposed to detect that it has been tampered with, and, if this is the case, shut down the PC forcefully after 30 minutes. This prevents a compromised system from running undetected, yet allows the owner to fix the issue by flashing a valid version of the ME firmware during the grace period.

Personally, I have yet to find a way to correct this issue, but I hven't tried flasing a valid version of the ME firmware, but I am still looking. I hope this helps point you in the right direction.
