I have an MSI GT70 that had an overheated GTX 675M. I swapped it out for a new GTX780M. Before intalling the new GPU I uninstalled the old drivers. Now when I boot my computer, the new GPU shows as Microsoft Basic Display Adapter and the Nvidia intallation software doesnt detect the correct hardware. I desperatley need help as I cant get device manager to detect my 780. If you can figure this out, you'd be saving my life. IM GOING THROUGH GAMING WITHDRAWLS WITHOUT MY GPU. =P

Alright. I'll give it a try. I'm currently at work. I'll let you know the results when I get back. Thanks for the quick reply.

No go, pal. I booted into safe mode and let the cleaner run. Rebooted and in Device Manager, it still says "Microsoft Basic Display Adapter" for my GPU. Any other ideas?
