Lag Spikes in game every 30 min

My computer is ok and runs most steam games just fine but just randomly one day while playing a game at a good FPS (about 50) it started to lag after 30 minutes of playing just fine. The lag lasts for about 5 minutes and heavily decreases my FPS. I've checked my drivers there are all up to date. I've taking components out and put them back but i cant seem to get rid of this lag. I've also checked for viruses but my computer is clean

Then I would monitor your usage and core clocks, it's easier to do this if you have a second monitor, there might be some software out there where you can overlay the monitoring tools but I don't know of any.

I tend to use CPUz/GPUz along with windows performance monitor.

Monitor your temps, and CPU/GPU usage and core clock. It's possible that your either overheating and the CPU is down clocking itself or you might have some eco software that is down clocking the CPU at an inappropriate time. (I had ASUS cool and quiet do this to me on an older build of mine)

I checked my temps and they were fine. This problem just randomly came up everything is the same as it has always been
