I am looking into buying a new CPU and motherboard for around £250 and I'd love some help. So far I've looked into the AMD CPU FX-9370 with a ASUS SABERTOOTH 990FX and they seems decent (but a bit pricey).

My current specs are as follows:
Summary
Operating System
Windows 8.1 64-bit
CPU
AMD FX-6200
Zambezi 32nm Technology
RAM
8.00GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 669MHz (9-9-9-24)
Motherboard
Gigabyte Technology Co., Ltd. GA-78LMT-S2P (Socket M2)
Graphics
DSGR (1920x1080@60Hz)
2047MB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 770 (Gigabyte)
Storage
931GB MB1000EAMZE ATA Device (SATA)
PSU
Corsiar GS800
(Speccy)

Please can people either suggest components that might be better or maybe even recommend places to buy from.
Thanks!

Going to the FX-8370, you gain 2 cores and 600Mhz, which is not a good return on a chip is almost twice the cost of your FX-6200 and uses 220w against 120w of power.

If nothing wrong with you motherboard, you can use the FX-8300 (BIOS F5a), which uses less power at 95w than the FX-6200 and you get your 2 extra cores and few extra cpu bits and bobs and not bad overclockers.

Hmmm... Okay, I would like to upgrade my motherboard anyway. My current one doesn't have USB 3.0 support. What Motherboard CPU combo would you recommend?
