I added a second HD 7950 and my Vram usage looks like it is higher. Eg. BF4 had 2gb of Vram used on 1 GPU in MSI Afterburner. Then when I enabled Crossfire and Played BF4 it was showing my Vram usage at 3gb+ with a yellow line I'm guessing was stating I was going over 3gb. I know Vram does not stack, I'm wondering if it's calculating the Vram used as 2gb on each card and adding it in Afterburner.
First question is Why is it doing this?
Will this effect performance?
Thanks

I believe Afterburner adds all of the Vram together for it's total calculation. 2 cards - .5/card of the total reported figure, 3 cards - .33/card of total reported figure etc etc.

How much higher is Crossfire reporting your vram usage?

On one GPU for BF4 its said 2gb. For two GPUs it shows it at the peak of the box (For mem usage) in a yellow color instead of green at 3gb. So it adds 1gb, but could be adding more since the max is 3gb. I can test other games if needed.

I think it is doubling the usage but not the amount they calculate. I ran Metro LL in a Town hub sort of play for a control run, and it went from one GPU at around 500-600 mb to two GPUs at around 1100-1300 mb.
