I have dell optiplex 755 desktop and i recently bought inno3d gtx 550 ti 2gb. As my dell psu (which i think is 250 watts) does not contain a 6 pin connector so i am using a spare 250 watts psu with it which only gives the power to the gpu through 6 pin connector. So basically my gpu is running on 2 psus.

So is it enough for my gpu to perform good r i have to replace it with a bigger psu?

If the GPU is running, you are getting enough power. The GTX software/driver package should come up with warnings if the GPU power is ever inadequate. I've had it show up on older systems with SLI setups.

Yes my gpu is working fine and haven't faced any warning yet but i am getting 5-10 less fps in almost every game so i am thinking if thats the issue?

You could use a molex to 6 pin adapter to keep everything on one system, but that would be very close to full load for the PSU. What is your reference for 5-10fps loss? Was there a time when the performance was better?

A GeForce GTX 550 Ti needs 24 amps on the +12v rail and a 400 watt power supply with at least one 6 pin PCIE power connection.
