I have a sony HVR-HD1000E and it's not really working miracles, are there any add-ons like lenses? and I'd like to know if I can record HD videos to a storage device and not a miniDV.

If the camera has a removable lens then you can propably find a lens that would mount. Can you remove the lens?

Update: It appears as though you cannot use a DSLR lens with this camcorder. You can use teler wide conversion lenses.
Since it has a firewire port you could try something like the Maxell iVDR VC102 to record to a hard drive instead of tape. They are not cheap and you can expect to pay $600+ for one. Other options would be the Datavideo DN-60 Digital CF Card Recorder or the Shining Technology's CitiDISK CFR or the Sony HVR-DR60.

Lenses:
VCL-HG0737K - Wide Angle Conversion Lens
Since the filter thread is 37mm you could look for conversion or converter lenses with a 37mm thread.
