Guys,

Im stil not sure what to get for my upcoming 8350 AMD.
Are the difference so much between these 2 motherboards? 87 euro or 117 euro for the 99x.
I compared those but i dont see the Adds and Cons....im not gonna buy a 150 euro motherboard like the sabertooth
Im gonna OC it a bit to 4.5 ill quess,im not quite familliar with overclocking but i wanna try with the new setup.
I run a 1x gforce 760 Oc, i got 12 super quit fans in my predator case. Heavy load stress test not higher then 47 Celcius.

So help me pick one please.....

Solution
Which version of the M5A97 EVO is it? If it is the LE, with no heatsinks on its VRMs, then definitely get the M5A99X. If it has VRM heatsinks, then the M5A97 should be sufficient for your needs assuming you will stick with a single graphics card.

Solution
the M5A99x evo will probably overclock a bit better because of chipset and design. More coverage on the motherboard with the heatsinks and what not. It'll support a higher overclock compared to the m5a97 evo. (assuming both of them are r2.0)

VRM = Voltage Regulator Module. These provide the voltage phases to the CPU. The FX-8350 is a power hungry chip. The 99X has 6+2 VRM phases, and the 97 has 4+2 phases. Since you want to overclock, I'd still choose the 99X. Another good choice if it is available to you at a reasonable price is the Gigabyte GA-970A-UD3 which has 8+2 VRM phases.
