Im building a pc and now when nvidia announced gameworks im wondering witch gpu to take? Both would be not reference, so asus or gb.
Cpu is i5-4670k and for mobo im not sure (depends on gpu).
I see that r9 280x has advantage right now against 760, but what later :?
Thanks in advance,
-Chris.

Since I just bought a HIS R9 280X and am 100% happy to have it, you might take that into consideration as I am a bit biased. That aside the thing with gameworks is it has nothing to do with the card but everything to do with the game developers. It is a set of development tools that game creators may or may not use to enable some Nvidea supported "effects". Using it as a reason to buy a card is in my opinion just not relevant at the moment. I guess if you are committed to buying those titles that have said they will employ the technology then maybe it is a reason. Not every game will use the code and since we have little end user data to evaluate on, gamers do not know what the real benefits might be. As of now UbiSoft (who have always...

As of now UbiSoft (who have always been in Nvidea's back pocket) is the main developer to say they will use it. I bought the new card because I got a great price, sold my old 6950 on ebay and got an additional rebate from HIS. All told the new card cost well under $200. If some time in the future there is such a great change in my game behavior, upgrading is always possible. Basing a hardware purchase on the possibility that some company may or may not make use of some development tools is just to iffy and far fetched in my opinion.
