Is Reballing Worth it for Xbox 360 Slim?

Hi Guys,

I've got an xbox 360 slim with red ring. A tech guy told me he'll reball it to see if it works. But my concern is, I can't pay for just "TRYING" to see if it works. Can anyone please tell me if you got any past experience with Xbox 360 slim reballing, is it worth it?

How long it may last after reballing?

My friend used to fix RROD for 360s, he said he could fix it about 50% of the time. He only did it for friends and his deal was he would try for free and if it didn't work he gets to keep it for spare parts. Most would RROD again after some time though.

I sent it to an expert and its resolved now. I hope it will last for long.

What did that expert of your did do you know ? And how much does he cost you ? Please tell me the red ring is killing me . And for sure it comes because of overheating of xbox over time and time and not giving enough rest.

He did reballing & its fixed now. he charged me $50, which is around Rs. 5000 my currency in lahore.
