I built my first computer and it has been working fine for about 3 months. Today when I got home I heard a clicking noise that sounded like it was coming from the power supply. I shut down my computer and I could still faintly hear it. I then unplugged it and it stopped so it only stops when there is no electricity flowing through it. What is the problem and is my computer at risk?

well that psu has double ball bearing fan and since the sound is present when pc is shut off then it must be another issue and not the fan. you can double check it though by placing your tower horizontally to see if the sound alters or stops, while operating.!also try another wall plug and make sure it is grounded! if it acts the same and since you are on warranty claim RMA

I did try another wall plug and it continued making the noise. I had turned my computer off and unplugged it for about 20 minutes and I just turned it on and it is not making the noise. Also the sound was kind of a buzzing click.

Is it safe to just keep using my computer? I just want to make sure nothing else can be damaged.

that is a quaity psu unit you have with a lot of protections to kick in, if actually needed! you pc currently isnt at risk, however if proplem emerges again and deteriorates, you know what to do! weird noises, overheating, sudden restarts or shut offs are signs of a dying psu!
