Fast computer running slow HELP

when i play games its so slow and laggy its horrible. how do i fix this? i have latest java, or is it my screen resolution.

my specs:

16 ram
750 PSU
fx 6100 black edition
asrock motherboard
evo 212 cooler
xfx 7770 GHz edition.
6TB HDD
250 Samsung 840 pro SSD
LG 23" LED ISP HD 3D Monitor.
NOTHING IS OVER CLOCKED.

Are you using that monitor in 3D mode? If you are that could be part of the issue. In 3D mode the number of FPS you are getting will essentially be cut in half. So if you would normally get 30fps in 2D mode, you would then only get 15 in 3D. This would make it seem really laggy.

Also what kind of games are you trying to run, and what graphics settings are you using?

xfx 7770 ghz edition, minecraft and all java games
