In need of a new cpu cooler, looking for suggestions

Hello everyone, I made the mistake of buying a pre-built computer from IBuypower and have come up with a problem. My cpu is overheating because the stock heat sink is garbage. I am open to buying a new cpu cooler with a budget around $60-80 USD. I am not overclocking anything and I still struggle with keeping a cool cpu. My specs are

CPU: AMD FX-8320
Casing: nzxt source 210 mid tower
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-970A-D3P -- AMD 970 SLI
CPU Cooler: ZALMAN CNPS80F 80mm
RAM:ADATA XPG V2 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1866
GPU: MSI R9-280x

I really am concerned about the size as the ram is right next to the cpu cooler and has heat sinks on. Any idea on how I can solve cpu overheating with a new cpu cooler?

try this if it will fit in the case: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

If you prefer air cooling go for the CM Hyper 212 EVO - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

I prefer air cooling, so would the CM Hyper 212 EVO be able to fit into my case and can it keep my cpu temperatures at 50 during high loads and 20 at idle?

50 at high loads and 20 at idle? Never! Expect idle temps to be 10 to 15 degs higher than ambient temps.

My setup goes up to 68 degs C at load and around 35 degs C at idle with the Hyper 212 EVO (i7 3770K overclocked) and you can expect similar temps. Yes it will fit in a mid tower case and for tall RAM you will have to move the heatsink fan upwards (away from the motherboard) as necessary.

Wow thank you so much for your help, I'll go for the Hyper 212 EVO then for my rig then. Thanks so much
