Gaming Laptop Deals During Christmas

I am looking to buy an GE70 Apache Pro for my new gaming laptop and i plan to have it last me for atleast 4-5 years until i can go all out and buy an awesome gaming desktop.

They are around $1,300 on Newegg.com
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834152558

However my budget is $1,000-$1,100 so i was wondering if i can be expecting to see the GE70 Apache Pro go on sale in the area around my budget?

Also if you can suggest a gaming laptop that can compete with the Apache Pro that is in my price range it would be amazing if you could post it here.

  1. Did you notice that you can change the configuration on that laptop? If you go with the i5, 860M, 8GB, 17.3" screen it is $1099. The 15.6", i7, 860M, 8GB is $1,199.99
  2. I did notice, however if possible i would prefer to be capable of getting the standard Apache Pro set up,

So is it unlikely it will be on sale for $1,000-$1,100 by Christmas?
  3. So i take it i will be stuck buying a cheaper processor to get for around $1,100?

Not necessarily. You might catch a Black Friday / Cyber Monday deal on it or maybe something similar. I was mostly suggesting changing hardware in case you didn't want to wait 4+ months. I found when shopping newegg that the Black Friday deals seemed better than the Cyber Monday deals. I don't remember the specific deals though.
  5. Okay thank you,

So there is a chance that i could get it in the range of my budget?

And i am more than willing to wait an extra 4+ months to get a slightly more powerful laptop, and Newegg is where i will most likely purchase it.
