I'm thinking about getting a mechanical keyboard and would like some suggestions. I game regularly but gaming isn't really the main propriety. Propriety goes to typing for school, projects, and such. I would also like not fork up too much money and am leaning toward blue switches.

Solution
Blue switches are the best for typing but the are also quite LOUD.

I would recommend BROWN switches. I recommend one of the Corsair or Cooler Master models based on personal usage.

If you don't require the keypad, I really like the following keyboard which I found for $100 USD (brown key version):

The Logitech G710+ is also a very nice keyboard but it's a lot larger. It also has rubber bumpers which the keys hit and it cuts down on the noise. It can be found at AMAZON fairly cheaply though watch who you buy it through.
