Hello folks, trying to fix my almost 3 yr old hp pavilion g6 laptop model : g6-1b67ca. Lately, it had been shutting down after a couple of minutes without the adapter. I had replaced battery & adapter a year ago.
The laptop seems dead, no keyboard lights, no beeps, no fan spin, only the power adapter light indicating fully charged (had gone from orange to blue & stays blue). Upon disassembling, DC power conncetor seems fine, wires to mobo look ok & I cant spot any burns (am a newbie). I haven;t taken the mobo out yet, as I'd figured I'd get some feedback first. Pics supplied below. What do I do next? I suspect it is a motherboard issue...
Thanks, any input is appreciated!
