I just bought and build my very own rig for the first time. I'm using an Intel 4790k CPu (no OC), being cooled by a corsair H100i. I got 2 intake fans in the case, and 1 outtake fan (excluding the 2 h100i vents).
Idle my temp is at 35 degree, starting up watchdogs my temp instantly goes from 35 to 80. and when I close watchdogs it instantly goes down again. Tho I have noticed this happens whenever I use alot of programs or any other games.
All the fans are spinning, and there is thermal paste (the h100i pre-applied). I dont know what to do now. i tried setting H100i on performance mode, that did not make a difference.
My ideas are that 1) the paste is poor. 2) H100i is sitting wrong 3) i read somthing about voltage being able to cause high heat that cant be cooled externally.
Also wondered if it might be the Haswell chip http://www.digitaltrends.com/computing/report-intel-haswell-processors-prone-to-overheating/#!bdpj9m
My Case is 750D
Hope anyone can help
