Try these free programs and see if it gets any faster. These will "clean up" your PC and it will free up disk space while condensing the file locations for quicker search response. The anti-malware is also to check for malicious programs that could be running in the background and eating your performance.

Another program I recommend at least trying is TuneUp Utilities. There is a free trial, but it is basically an entire system manager. I use it, and will put it on any computer I own until I find something better. Pretty hard to go back once you try it.

I already ordered a Amd Athlon 760K and ASUS A88XM-A motherboard, i hope it works better then

Probably not. Going from the x4 645 to the 760k probably won't show much improvement if you want it to boot faster or to open programs faster. You'd want faster RAM and an SSD memory drive.

At least with the newer motherboard you ordered you can get DDR3 memory. I suggest at least 1600mhz with Cas 9 latency and make sure you get dual channel aka don't grab 1x 4gb stick, grab 2x 2gb sticks if you want 4gb of DDR3 memory.

Also, SSDs are getting cheaper, you can grab a 120gb SSD for $60, then you just have to move your operating system to it and you'll get 15 seconds or less boot times and the programs you put on it will open in 1-5 seconds. I have one and it's hard to use computers without one once you experience the speed.

$60 Kingston SSD 120gb
