High Cpu Temps

My processor got pretty dang hot yesterday when I was rendering a video with CPU only. It was under 100% load, and my cores slowly worked their way up to 95c. I have an i7 4790k with a stock cooler. Is this in in any way normal, or should I be worried? I'm probably going to get a Cooler Master Hyper 212 anyway, and switch out the stock fan, but for now; do you guys think it's not sitting correctly, or perhaps the thermal paste is no longer good? (Which would be unlikely since my PC is about 2 days old.)

Thank you for your help.

EDIT: My CPU idles around like 33 on each core, and gets to like 50-60 when gaming. It was okay, until I started rendering with it.

Frankly, whenever I see high cpu temps, I usually swap the cooler. Just not worth losing time and messing with it. Evo is a great choice. I would certainly not recommend rendering on a stock cooler anyway, this actually stresses the cpu much more than gaming.

Yeah, I know. I just thought I could trust the stock cooler a bit more. From the other temps I figured the heatsink is sitting correctly. I guess the stock cooler must suck, lol.
