I have Toshiba USB 3.0 blue external hard drive for 4 months, lately when i transferred some of my files from computer to this hard drive i recognized that it it slowing down, form MB to KB which is not normal, then i formatted, i even formatted my computer but when i plug it again, there is no change and sooner i realized that my hard drive is showing as local disk. I tried many ways to solve the problem but i cant solve it. Is it broken or what? what should i do? Thank you for those who will help me.

Test it with SeaTools for Windows too see if it's faulty: http://www.seagate.com/gb/en/support/downloads/item/sea...

The purpose of the test is simply to establish first that the drive itself is okay (or not). If it is okay, we know that the cause has to be elsewhere.

Please post test results as a new thread, as it may get missed if you post it on this one.
