difference in ram

I believe my ram is what is causing my computer to not display the video on my monitor. I followed the procedure where you start with only the CPU and hsf and move on from there. I only got 1 single beep with the CPU hsf and ram plugged in. From my understanding that's not what your suppose to get.

I checked my MB manual and the ram compatablility list CMY16GX3M2A2400C10R as a comparable 2400 MHz ram. My ram I have is CMY16GX3M2A2400C11R.

Is this just a newer version or is it completely different?

Want the latest BIOS then will prob need a bit of an OC on the CPU - 4.1 or so, then enable XMP and select the profile 1 2400
