hi guys. So I have

Samsung 160GB (this is where my original OS is in)
WD Green 640GB (this is where my backup data is at)
WD Blue 1TB (this is where I HAVE JUST INSTALLED MY NEW OS IN)

Both OS HDD are using Win 8.1

I haven't formatted the old OS partition.

Now I am seeing from My Computer on the WD Blue partition, I can see my Samsung but can not see my WD Green's data, it is telling me to format to use.

What should I do?

but I know the data is safe for now, though. I have checked by booting into my old OS, but from my new OS in new HDD, can't see data in WD Green. Please help!

BTW: the partition that has my data but my new OS is asking to format is HAS a drive letter assigned, E:

I think this is some form of permissions conflict? both OS are using the same Microsoft account, by the way.

take out one of the other drives and see if windows will see and access the drive. If it works, you need to create a logical drive instead of primary. There is a limit on how many logical drives you can have.

The free Partition Wizard should be able to convert the drive. Save all the data first to be on the safe side then convert the drive to a logical drive and give it a letter that will not conflict with any of the other drive's letters.
