Hello,

I've got two 1080p monitors and I'd like to connect them to my laptop to use them as two separates screens. What's the best solution?

Solution
Right click the desktop -> Select "NVidia Control Panel" from the popup menu -> New window
Click "Manage 3D Settings" from menu on left
[TABS]
Global Settings - this will let you control settings that every program must use.
Program Settings - this will give you control over individual programs unless it's overridden by Global Settings.

Like I said before, unless Origin have done something specific to your laptop, the primary display output ports are the intel HD ports and the GTX merely passes through them and you will likely be limited to 2 screens.

The place we need to start is your laptop. Make, model, processor, graphics card. The simple reason being I'd be surprised if your laptop supports any more than 2 screens (including the laptop screen).

Without knowing the spec of your machine I would still suggest looking at USB -> hdmi adapters. The thunderbolt port I'm only aware of on Apple machines and don't know how, or if, this can be adapted for monitors (I would actually check to see if you have any form of displayport port). The hdmi port is an easy shoehorn for either hdmi or dvi monitors.

I just found the solution myself, just bought a MiniDisplay to HDMI cable. So I connect one monitor with the HDMI port and the other with the MiniDisplay. My computer is, I believe, extremely powerful. I'll post it anyway to make sure it's powerful enough. I've been using it for about 30 mins and it works fine.

I'm glad you found a mini displayport adapter, it's the sort if thing I was trying to push you toward anyway. It's why I had asked about displayport.

Anyway, will your laptop drive a pair of 1080p screens? Yes.
Will it drive them at the same time as your laptop screen? I don't know, this will depend on your graphic setup. I have a Clevo P170EM, this is a i7-3740qm with GTX 675MX graphics card. However, the primary graphics card in mine is the intel HD4000, the GTX merely passes through and uses it's ports. I think you may find you'll be limited to a max of 2 screens, unless the graphics card has dedicated external ports.
Why do I mention the Intel HD4000? Unless a profile enables it when a game starts, or you set it in the NVidia control panel, your laptop will use the intel HD graphics as the primary display output.
