IF newegg was actually working right now you could click my link and see that the card i have is a custom board by EVGA and its actually longer than a reference 670. once newegg stops being stupid i will check your link.

I can see the link fine. It is the reference design with the single fan on it.

I'm suggesting you to buy something like this:

35-426-031-TS

Yep. i dont know what was happening but when i tried going to newegg the page had a message saying "newegg is currently experiencing difficulties right now please come back later"

I see the Heatsink and it looks very good. i am going to do a bit more looking around and if i dont find something else cheaper i will buy this. thanks.

Really all i need is a new fan. do you think this will work? http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-NVIDIA-Fan-Heatsink-Module-for-GeForce-GTX-465-470-094-0026-DCV-00893-/150915649766?pt=US_Video_Card_GPU_Cooling&hash=item23234610e6

You could always look for a damaged card and cannibalise that or look for an already disassembled one, Craiglist or Ebay are good hunting grounds (as you know) or you might try ringing round your local stores to see if they can help out.

The part you're linking may work, at least it'll have a working fan but there's not real way to be sure without actually getting it, and at $30.00 plus shipping I'd go for a replacement cooler instead but there is a few points about the Icy Vision:

It's thick, set aside three slots to accommodate it!
The instructions can be a little difficult to follow so proceed carefully.
Some of the parts are very small, I had to use tweezers.
Check the RAM heatsinks will clear the main cooler! Do a 'dry assembly' to check for clearance issues before sticking things down.
Getting the sticky pads to stick to the RAM sinks is easy, but once they're on getting the protective film off the reverse side is a pain, I found the best way was to place the pad a little off centre so I could bend a corner right over backwards using the tip of a craft knife.
Don't forget the VRM cooler!
The fans are not PWM controlled, either connect them to a motherboard header and set the speed through BIOS or use something like the Zalman FanMate controller, otherwise they'll run at full speed all the time-which is a little noisy. ;)

Yeah i watch quiet a few videos and checked some reviews on the Geled and its quite frankly amazing. i saw one where a guy had an overclocked GTX 680 and it wouldnt go past 53C while gaming. so i am going to get it.
