Hellow guys.
I'm a new member to the tom's hardware forum.
And I have a serious problem with my pc. My pc is custom build and it has the following parts.

CPU:AMD FX-8320 STOCK NOW (WAS RUNNING @ 4.4GHZ AND STABLE FOR LONG TIME 4.2GHZ)

MOBO : GIGABYTE 970A UD3

PSU: CORSAIR CX750M

RAM:2X4GB KINGSTON GENESIS 1600MHZ

GPU: SAPPHIRE RADEON HD7850 2GB (STABLE OC FOR OVER A YEAR @ 1135MHZ CORE , 1375MHZ MEM)

HDD: SEAGATE BARRACUDA 500GB 7200RPM

DVD : AN ASUS ONE

5 FANS AND 1 BLOWING RIGHT ON THE VRM ON THE MOBO.

CASE: CORSAIR GRAPHITE 230T BLACK

I have this pc for 1 year and 3 months. The cpu was overclocked for the 1 year @ 4.0GHZ undervolted -.100v

3 months back i got the scythe ninja 3 cooler and have it to 4.2ghz stable sometimes experimenting with more ( stable @ 4.4ghz)

I had vrm heat issue , put the fan on there no issues now.
Today I decided to swap my top and front fans for better airflow. The temps improved a little bit, however after starting the pc when I started a game the game would crash in litterally 10-20 seconds.Turned off the to make sure the connections are all good. The pc has little dust.Nothing happened the same crash. The pc also shutdown its self one time. Reseted the cpu to stock , I go to play a game again the same crash. I then reset the gpu oc and after that no crashes at all. I would like to point that before swapping the fans , the pc was stable. Also , I runned furmark and prime together for 15minutes not crashes at all. I have ran prim95 for 25minutes now. I think that it's a psu issue. But it confuses me that stresstesting the cpu and gpu together didn't result in a crash. But I would like some advice.
The games I tried were crysis 3 and call of duty morern warfare 1. Finally I have a fan controller with temp sensors. I have stacked one under the gpu heatsink, but that is about a month ago.

TEmps

cpu idle: 20(false shown temp in cpuid ambient temp is more than 25) ~ 30+
cpu load: 4.2GHZ 60c 4.4GHZ 63C 4.5GHZ ~66C
GPU IDLE (EYEFINITY): 35-40C (NO EYEFINITY) 32-36C
GPU LOAD STOCK STESSTEST MAX TEMP 74C
GPU LOAD OC (1135CORE 1375MEM) MAX TEMP ~82C

Update: I have now the cpu oced to 4.4ghz , ran prime no issues, overclocked the gpu at 1000mhz core and 1350 mem with no touching the voltage and the power limit , and have no issues at all. When i touch the voltage and the power limit , and go beyond that oc the pc crashes in games.

I think you know the answer already, looking at what you said is the gpu what gives the crash.Just keep the oc under a certain level and you should be fine from what i read.
If you want more performance get a better one or crossfire this one.

Ok thanks for the tip. I don't think that I will be crossfiring this one , as if it fails in the future , It will be a money loss. I'm gonna go for a new one when I can. Thanks for the tip again!

That's up to you,i think a second 2gb version could be a nice upgrade for not to much money (->second hand).

And you're welcome.:D

You want to hear something weird? I formated the pc because of some other issues , and now the oc is stable again... so it could be a driver issue?

Finally , I think that there were 2 factors that affected the gpu oc. 1. I think that my psu has lost its full potential. I ran furmark and prime together and pc rebooted which indicates possible psu issue. After changing my overclock from 4.6ghz (236x19.5) to 4.3 ghz just multiplier i managed to get the gpu oc to 1100mhz and 1350mem at 1.155voltage an, ran prime and furmark together no crash no reboot. So as you can see the second possilbe factor was that the cpu overclock with the high bclk speed affected the stability of the gpu. Does anyone agree with my assupmtions or is it somehting else? I'm planning on the future chaning the psu and mobo. Will this upgrade resolve the possible issues ?
