AMD and Intel motherboards confusion

Hi guys, I am building my first gaming pc with a budget of $1500, I go to college as well. I was going to get the FX 8350, but there is not a lot of motherboard options for it. I am thinking about the i5 4670k or the 4690k. What is your opinions on the cpu brands, and what is the best gaming motherboard option for the cpus? Thanks for the advice!

+1 to the 4690k.

For motherboard, I suggest the ASRock z97 extreme4. Good motherboard, good features, and a good motherboard to overclock on. Another one would be the ASRock Fatal1ty z97 killer.

For ASUS, If you want to spend more on the higher end stuff, go with the maximus vii hero. Otherwise the Sabertooth is still a good board.

Hey thanks, and what brand out of those would you recommend? I will be playing mostly RPGs and Destiny when it comes out, I am so excited for Destiny.
