My problem is that, few days ago due to thunder storm my LAN port on motherboard stopped working. so i bought a new portable LAN card which is Zabonics ZEB-P1000L13. i have installed latest Realtek LAN driver but still after some period of time LAN gets disconnected and also it cannot be found in device manager. Then to solve it there are two process....one is either i have to keep my system off for 30 mins or more or i have to take out the LAN card and again plug it and restart the system.I really don't want this to do. Anyone know what is the actual problem? Is it the LAN card fault?
My system specs is
Intel i3 2120@3.3Ghz
6GB RAM
500 GB hdd
corsair VS550 PSU
GTX 750Ti OC TWIN FROZR graphics
Mother board- Gigabyte H61M-DS2

Try going into your power settings and going advanced settings, There you can go to your pci-e settings and there should be one that says Link state power management (something like that) Change that to disabled.

You can also turn off power saving in lan settings there.

i think there is no solution..... only i have to shutdown for 10-15 mins after 2 hrs so that the motherboard completely forget my LAN card data(as after shutdown it takes till 10 mins motherboard store the device data)...and on turning on it will again start my LAN card.

Your motherboard is probably damaged, or your psu more likely. A thunder strike would hit your psu and your psu should kill itself to protect your components. If you can try another psu and see if it works?
