hi everyone, I just wanted to know how it works in reality terms, I have run out of options for a pc monitor, I can't tolerate TN panels, IPS doesn't show anything like black, and AMVA+ is unavailable in my country, the only model availabe is asus vn279q and I have heard awful things about it black level, the tv I want to but has 4850 static contrast ratio and has input lag of 23ms and motion blur is not a problem on this model, I will be sitting 100cms about 3.2 feet from the screen, am I ok to go?

I managed to get an used U2311H and if I had to buy it brand new...I'd have done so after saving the appropriate amount. You also get a large screen space.

Considering you may be sitting about a meter away from the display, it'd double up as a great media centeric system.

Mind you mate, I'm swaying to those 2 since you opted for an IPS panel and the lowest response times from that list is 6ms so naturally the 2 options stood out as better solutions. Dynamic contrast ratio is something relevant. I also own an HP LA2306X monitor and I can't calibrate it anywhere close to the Dell U2311H has been calibrated. Its that good and its even better when I sit for episodes/movies.

Hands down *2 would be my pick.

Hi there, I am from Iran, so far I have tried a Tn panel which was an asus 24, I hated the gamma shift, and then an ah-IPS mx239 which was decent, but its contrast ratio kept walking on my nerve and finally convinced me to sell it,
I have bought my new rig recently, i5-4670k and asus gtx 780, I am dying to find a good display, to enjoy my game, wanted to get my hands on benq gw2450hm, which is non- existent in my country, I wish I werent so picky, I thank you in advance, for any help you can provide me with

Dells S series ifs more for business class however the U series are top tier mointors, not recommended for gaming but they are super pleasant on the eyes. I have the Dell U2311H and Its one of the best purchases I've made.

Between the choices you've shown, I'd side with one of two monitors;
*2 and *4 but the latter is of lower screen size.
