PC desktop wont start/boot unless connected to the Internet.

Everything works fine when connected to the Internet. However, PC won't start/boot if not connected, e.g. it won't boot if my Internet provider is down.

Googled for answer and this is what I found. PC is possibly being controlled by 3rd party software, malware, or root kit.

    more likely you are logging into a account that is authenticated by a internet based service. (email account)

    you might try and log on to a local account
