This mother board is brand new. What is happening is when I try to power it up the various lights will flash and the power supply will continue to click. I have tested the power supply in a another computer and it ran without issue. I have also removed the RAM and gotten the same results and everything except the power cords for the motherboard have been removed. Any help in resolving this issue would be appreciated.

RAM - 8gb (4x2) Corsair Dominator Platinium 2400
CPU - AMD A10-7850K
Power Supply- Corsair AX760I

That's what I was thinking but due to it being the weekend and not a whole lot to do I started swapping parts. The cheap Dynex power supply from my other computer works just fine with the MSI A88X-G45. Turns on, gets a bios and everything. So my 8 year old computer that I am using to type this gets a brand new power supply and my new setup gets a used 60 dollar special from best buy. I am not really sure how to continue. Do I ask this question in the power supply section or do I need to hit up the manufacturers of the board and power supply?

Oh, you didn't say you tried another PSU with the board and found it worked. That changes things. The board may be fine, then. The new PSU is apparently OK too if it runs the old system. I'd try again in bread board fashion.

Take the MB back out and check to see if you added any standoffs that shouldn't be there. One may be
shorting the back of the board. Then while it is out test it in like this:
Put the MB on an insulated surface like the box it arrived in. Connect just the CPU/cooler, 1 stick memory
in 1st DIMM slot as required sometimes by the manual for using 1 stick, PSU, KB, and if available; the on-
board video to monitor. Start the system by momentarily shorting the 2 pins on the MB FP header that the
case's start button wires would plug normally into. You should get a display and be able to boot to BIOS by
tapping DEL.

You may also want to cheak the new RAM in the old system (if compatible) to see if they are the culprit.

Thanks for the good information. I now have both systems up and running fine but the AX760I still wont work with the A88X and seems to have no issues with the 8 year old MSI K8N Neo 4 Platinum. I really don't want to leave the AX760I in my old system but I may have to. Why it wont work with the A88X is beyond me.

Let me see if I follow... the new board is working with the old Dynex PSU. The old system is now running with the new Corsair AX760I, right? Is the old system a Dell, by any chance?
