I have just gotten a new laptop, it is only a few days old. However, while playing a game now, I constantly am getting BSOD with the error kernel_security_check_failure. I really do not know what could be causing this issue, but I have gotten at lease a dozen BSODs already and its getting really frustrating. I am running on Windows 8. If anyone could help guide me to what could be causing this, I would be so grateful. I can do my best to provide any other information if necessary.

Here are some .dmp files from the blue screens:

Solution
I looked at several of the crash dumps they were all related to e22w8x64.sys killer network driver (old version) I would start out by getting a updated driver yours was from 2012. it kind of looks like a virus attack on the network stack but
it could be a driver bug, or some antivirus software as well.

update the driver, retest for crash
if you still get the crash, remove your antivirus software and scan with malwarebytes to see if you have malware or a rootkit.

==========================
- looked at the last crash dump, it was in a network driver but it looks like a virus attack.
you might want to see about this driver
\??\C:\Windows\system32\Drivers\rikvm_38F51D56.sys Mon Nov 19 01:45:43 2012

a quick google for the file...

From what I've tried to find out on my own, is that this could just be a driver issue, but I'm not sure myself which driver that would be to see if I can fix the problem - thats why I offered some memory dump files if anyone knows how to read those :( Or did you take a look and find this is a bigger issue than that? Some more information would be nice than just to return the laptop...

a quick google for the file indicates it might be malware from a update to a cyperlink DVD

you also have some other questionable drivers but that one is a good place to start. I would run malwarebytes and see it flags it as malware. (or remove it and see if your system is more stable)

I will look at a few of your older dumps to see if I see something different.

Thank you so so much! While still researching on my own, I suspected it might have had something to do with the killer network driver and have already tried one thing someone said worked - I disconnected my ethernet and been working on just wifi instead and for a few hours now there have been no problems. So hopefully updating will help, and I will run malwarebytes for sure also.

Just a small update:

It seems that e22w8x64.sys was indeed the cause of all problems. I did what I could with the driver and since others seem to also have issues with it, have disabled it from services.msc and startup. Ever since, I have been able to game (which seemed to cause the bsod to occur) without issue or any sudden bsod as before. Everything is now running very smooth.

I also ran malwarebytes and it returned with nothing, so there was no malware.

Again, thank you for your time to pinpoint me towards the cause, very appreciated.
