i'm running arma 3 on an AMD R9 270x OC gigabyte windforce gpu
for a Cpu i have a Fx-8320
and 8gb of Ram
i've noticed the game is lagging, even though i have it on low or medium settings, so i ran MSI afterburner while playing with large amounts of AI.
MSI afterburner displayed that my gpu was not utilized over 80% and neither was my cpu, it only used 1,5 gb of ram , which is odd in my opinion, and yet it was still lagging , no matter how low or high i turned the settings , it still didn't perform better, and no way is it over heating because every single minute my pc is on i always monitor my temps, (i'm paranoid , i know). oh and i am planning on getting a GTX 770 in october , should i expect any performance gain and how big,and is there a chance the 8320 will hold it back? (i can OC the cpu if needed), thanks!

Solution
If you're going for a 770 just for more FPS in this game, then sadly no. Even people with 780s struggle with the FPS.
There might be a slight improvement, but only slight.

And no, no bottleneck.

patched? you mean the latest patch? yeah i just downloaded the bootcamp update, performance hasn't improved.

Yes, I meant the latest patch.
Well, if the update didn't help you out, I don't think there is much you can do about it. There must be some guides or fixes for this game. If you haven't tried them out already, maybe I can look into that and let you know.

on a side note, would the gtx 770 do any better? and the 8320 bottlenecking with 770?
