Another "Invalid System Disk" error

Hi ppl!

I'm not very good at fixing PCs so I thought I'd ask you guys for a hand. My girlfriend's pc shows the "invalid system disk" error at startup 90% of the times. She hasn't installed nor upgraded anything except for the usual Windows update. The HDD isn't making any weird noises btw. Could anyone point me in the right direction on how to fix this? Maybe something inside the BIOS? Boot order perhaps?

This issue may occur if your computer is set to start from the CD-ROM drive.

To resolve this issue, set your computer BIOS to start in the following order:

Hard disk
CD-ROM or DVD-ROM drive

For information about how to do so, contact your computer manufacturer, or view the documentation that is included with the computer/motherboard. Perhaps you can download the motherboard manual.

The system is about 2 years old but it's a very simple build. I gotta check but I think the cpu was an 3gen low end i3, 4 RAM and no gpu. The drives are about the same, 2 or 3 years old. I didn't think of running antivirus/malware. Will do that as soon as I can. Thx! Any other ideas?

... If this is the case, it may actually just be that there is a cd or DVD in the drive.... So make sure all optical drives are empty at startup

I think I fixed it!! Boot order had the USB drive set with the highest priority, so I put the HDD first and it hasn't presented the problem again. Nevertheless I run malwarebytes on my girlfriends computer and it found 48 threats XD
