Install Widows from another computer?

I have two computers, and one of them has a DVD drive that is a bit picky. If I try to install my Windows 7 64 software, it makes a loud noise, and it's too scary to try to install it. My other computer is brand new. Can I use the newer one to run the installation disk, but install Windows 7 in the older computer? I have a USB cable that connects them both.

No, that will not work.

Swap out the new drive and install in the old system(given they use the same interface).
