Hi guys, is this a decently balanced build?

Hi, wanted to ask your opinion on the following build:

PROCESSOR: i5 4690K 3.5GHz box
MOBO: ASUS H87-PLUS
GRAPHICS CARD: Sapphire Radeon R9 290 OC Tri-X 4GB DDR5 512-bit
RAM: Corsair Vengeance 8GB DDR3 1600MHz CL9 Dual Channel Kit
PSU: Seasonic S12II-620 Bronze 620W
CASE: Fractal Design Define R4 Black Pearl

You'll immediately notice I went for a K processor - I actually do not want to do OC in the near future (that's why I'm sticking with the stock cooler and H87 mobo). I want to get the K processor because it's at a discount at the store I'm buying my components from, it's exactly the same price as a regular i5 4690, BUT the regular 4690 is out of stock and I only have the option of a 3.4GHz 4670. So yeah, I was guessing it's no harm done, and I have the opportunity of overclocking in the future if I want to upgrade just the mobo.

So, what do you guys think? Any comments, does it look decently balanced?

No.
With a "K" cpu, you want a Z97 based motherboard so you can use the oc capabilities of the "K".
Your graphics card is suitably strong. You need not oc, but a Z97 is not much more expensive. Past that, a Z97 will give you the option of a future 14nm broadwell upgrade.

Past that, it is ok.
I am not much of a fan of the R9 cards, but to each his own.

I'm torn on which Z97 mobo to switch to, and the online reviews don't feel that helpful. What would you recommend out of the following:

ASRock Fatal1ty Z97 Killer
MSI Z97 GAMING 3
Gigabyte GA-Z97X-Gaming 3

I would also have the option of going for one of the following:

Gigabyte G1.Sniper Z97
MSI Z97 GAMING 5
ASRock Fatal1ty Z97X Killer
ASUS SABERTOOTH Z97 MARK 2 (this had really bad reviews online, I thought ASUS was the best)

But the second group would really stretch my budget thin, I would only get one of them if it's a noticeable performance/feature improvement over the first group.
