My current HDD makes a beeping noise every 3/4 seconds and when I try to format it, won't even be detected and when it is detected, there's always some problem in the installation. Should I replace it? It's a Seagate Barracuda 500GB 16MB 7200RPM ST500DM002-1BD142
Its health and performance is 100% according to sentinel.

Also, the reason I wanted to format it is because my Windows is really really slow and frequently getting BSOD. I'm planning to get a used 500GB 7200RPM HDD.

It sounds like the HD is failing.. Try running Seatools. That will give you an better idea how the drive's doing. If the drive is completely fine (try putting it in another computer and see how it behaves there), the your motherboard SATA controller is problematic :(
