My tower is ready for boot and I have the onboard speaker with me. I wanted to ask how do I mount it? Do I want the part that say "Speaker" downwards? Also same thing for the case connectors to the mobo?Downwards right? Thank you :) My motherboard is Asus m5 a97 r2.0. And this is my first build so dont need to be mean :)

Yes the orientation matters. Look at your motherboard manual for plugging them in. It should indicate which pins are positive and negative. The cables also should have a plus sign on the connector showing that pin is positive. You need to match them up.
You don't need to mount on board speakers. It's already connected. The ports on the back are for connecting sound peripherals/ cables. After installing Windows, you need to download and install motherboard drivers from the manufacturer website. There will be a driver for your onboard sound.
Consult the motherboard manual if you are unsure what each port on the rear I/I does.

I was asking mostly not just about the speaker. Its gonna be first boot and I wanted to ask about the wires in the case that connects to the mobo. Like the cables that have "PWR switch" "Reset Swtich" all that. Does it matter if the writing is facing upwards or downwards? AN dthnak you for the info :)
