Hello. I'm moving to a new house soon (big one) and I know that a lot of people using the same network will make the internet slower. So, I'm wondering, will putting different networks for each individual work? Or should I put multiple routers?
Between phones, TV's, laptops, PC's, game consoles, I have probably 25+ devices connected and all is fine. Get a good router. It depends on how many people, wireless or not, or what.
All you can do is divide up the internet speed between everyone. If the router can handle the incoming speed then that's a start. If it has good wifi, that helps. Best speed is by ethernet cable. Dual band router and wifi cards also help - 5GHz band is quicker than 2.4GHz.
Walls, floors and doors as well as distance between the laptop and router also slow wifi down.
If its 3 people and a 2 storey wood frame 50 sq house one good modem/rouetr should be OK. Bigger and denser walls then you might need range extenders or use powerline access points.

There's going to be at least 18 people. I'll keep this thread updated.
just wondering, im not a internet knowledge guy, but wouldnt having multiple routers make sense instead of just one sharing between 18 people?
my router is considered "the best" in France and cant even handle 3 family members, (if one of us is downloading, then say hello to a 999 ping for the other user) I cant comprehend having 18 people on the same router

If the house is really big then it might be worth considering having access points for different floors or two AP's for the top and bottom of the house. You'll need a cable connected between them for best performance.

im using the service "orange" the next best one is "SFR" but we dropped it since their bloody service kept cutting every few months, so we didnt have internet for like 2/3 days in a row

I'm referring to your Router not your service provider. You can change the router provided by your ISP to something that can handle more load/ simultaneous connections etc.
