My computer has been running fine for the past months, however, now i cannot startup. Whenever i power it on, only the GPU fan starts spinning. furiously. The CPU and case fans do not spin at all. It may be due to the previous day's Prime95 Blend test run, although the temperatures only reached a top of 60ish degrees.

i removed my GPU from the system and the same result. The CPU and case fans wont spin, but you can hear the humming of the HDD and SSD. I also moved the HDMI cable back into the motherboard', yet still no video output.

I have a hunch that it could be the PSU blowing up, considering it's fans never spun, even on startup, where it should have spun powerfully to remove dust, or even when it's getting steamy.

My Rig:
Motherboard: BM85-HD3
CPU: i5-4440
GPU: GIgabyte gtx770
PSU: Corsair AX860

Any help would be appreciated!

I'd say maybe MB. Since the GPU fan spins, and the HD's are spinning, the other ports of the PSU are giving power, yet the mb is receiving none. Could be the PSU though, but I'd point toward MB. That's what a $3 PSU tester from Ebay is invaluable. Plug in the PSU, all lights green, it's the MB. Missing lights, PSU is bad. Only other thing is if you have another pc to try your PSU in, or try another PSU in yours.

I removed the 24pin and 8 pin on the motherboard, removed the GPU, unplugged the PSU from the power outlet and waited a few minutes. Now it's back up and running!
