I need a new 64 bit laptop for Adobe After Effects

On Adobe's website the After Effects CC system requirements are Intel® Core™2 Duo or AMD Phenom® II processor; 64-bit support required. I've been looking on bestbuy.com and the only laptops they have with either processor with 4+GB of RAM are refurbished but I want to start clean with a new one. Does anyone know if there are better processors than these that support AE or somewhere else I can find a new laptop with said processors and at least 4GB of RAM and at least windows 7?

All modern CPUs are x64 compatible. Just because computers and laptops may have only 4GB of RAM Memory doesn't mean they are limited to that. You can usually, easily upgrade RAM very cheaply yourself £30 for 8GB in the UK (I don't know your local pricing).
The main thing to check is whether the included OS (Windows) is a x64 version but these days nearly all computers and Laptops come with the x64 version, so you should be OK. Just make sure you check.

So in short:
CPU will be fine with regards to x64
You can upgrade the RAM yourself if you want more
You MUST check the version of the OS.

those are the minimum system requirements, after effects will run on almost any newer, dual core processor.
those are really old processors. i would go with an i3 or i5. to be honest you dont want to run after effects on a laptop. ive been running it on a newer laptop and it has gotten so bad i just had to buy a desktop pc that is powerful. you DON'T want to go with the minimum requirements, you will hate yourself for doing so.

Listen-- and please read my answer carefully...
When it says ''system requirements are Intel® Core™2 Duo or AMD Phenom® II processor; 64-bit support required'' it means that any laptop that has those processors or a more recent processor will work fine. Those are just the minimum requirements (the worst processors that will run ''After Effects '' properly) . It's really not hard finding a 64 bit laptop that will run that program as almost all laptops with a decent processor will run it. All new laptops with 64 Bit OS can hold a more than 4 GB RAM. The laptop might come with 4 GB or even less than that, but you can always buy and install additional memory.
What is your budget ?

that's what i was saying. i have experience using after effects cc and cc 2014 on a new laptop, and to be honest if i was him i would make sure that laptop is pretty damn powerful or just suck it up and get a desktop. funny enough i actually just ordered new pc parts a few days ago because after effects runs so slowly on anything without a high-end cpu, at least 8 gb ram, and a decent gpu for starters. I am going from an intel pentium 2020m (same as a low-end i3 mobile but without the hyperthreading) to an amd 8320 that WILL be overclocked to a decent speed. i chose the amd because it will be very good for video encoding and streaming, since it has 8 cores. Bro, a laptop WILL NOT CUT IT you will be on pcpartpicker in a few months configuring a desktop if you go with a laptop. i highly recommend getting either a really high end gaming laptop or building your own desktop. i speak from experience. you also need to tell us your budget if you want any help at all.
