Hello, I am having issues with my computer and installing a graphics card. Here is the issue. About two years ago I purchased an Asus desktop, i7 8GB of Ram etc. I also bought a EVGA GTX 660 graphics card, and a new power supply, Hooked every thing up correctly and worked until my HDD went out. I replaced my HDD and re-installed the OS etc and tried putting in my graphics card, The computer started but no image, So i tried installing the driver first, but it couldn't produce and image with out the card out of the machine. I take it out try to install the driver but it wont with out it detecting the card...Ok so i try leaving the card in and using the on board HDMI still nothing, but the computer is running properly just no image...Im stuck and don't know what else to try, I am starting to think the PCI slot is dead, and to who thinks the card may be dead, i already had EVGA replace the old one under warranty and they sent me a new one on the tenth, and it doesn't work either. Also checked BIOS to see how it was booting and made sure it was enabled

Take the card out. Re set the cmos jump gate switch.
Re install windows. put the card back in, and connect the monitor to the card.
Go to start;control panel; trouble shooting; configer a device. Run it.
It should ask if you want windows to search for a driver.
This will be a legacy driver, but windows will now know whatthe card is and it is easy to change the driver.
You could just try trouble shooter in the first place, if you can get a picture with the card in.This may be possible connected to the onboard graphics, it may not.
