Hi, I recently installed the FX 8350 to replace my obsolete FX 8100. The reason that I wanted to replace the FX 8100 was because the 8100 was bottlenecking my GPU. To my surprise, there is no performance increase whatsoever whenever I'm playing games. I've mostly tested the new CPU on Battlefield 3 and it yielded similar to slightly better FPS than with my FX 8100. I've also checked all my drivers and they are all up to date.

My rig is:
Fx 8350 (4.0GHz)
GTX 760 ASUS Direct CO II 2 Gb
8Gb Ram 1600 MHz
CS550W Power Supply Corsair
MSI 760gm-p34 (fx) Motherboard
1 TB Hard drive from WD

Any help is appreciated, thank you!

What FPS are you getting? I don't really think an fx 81xx would bottleneck a gtx 760.

I'm getting between 70 and 40 Fps. My FPS drops significantly when I'm looking at certain areas with a high particle density. Here is a screenie of my GPU usage drops if that helps.

You could try overclocking the CPU, if you have a decent aftermarket cooler, to see if you can get some extra frames out of that.

Of course there is no diference. Did you truly believed that there is such a huge diference beteewn 8350and 8150. Not even in sintetics there aint a bigger difference than 10%. IRW its not seeable. Rather than switch a potato for a potato you could have taken a 4790k. That would have been an investment.
FTR(for the record) you fps is normal. Thats how much gtx 760 gets you. And no not even the fx6300 cant botlleneck it.
