So I just finished (so I think) building my new pc, however the system fails to boot even if I use the screwdriver like I did for the initial test. I tried going through this list
http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/261145-31-perform-steps-posting-post-boot-video-problems but none of the issues listed seemed to be the problem. Like I said earlier, the pc worked just fine when I tested it outside the case. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I really don't know what to do.
Does it power on, then not boot to windows? Or doesnt power on at all? Im guessing the latter, and that it's a bad PWR button from the case. When you said you tested it out of the case...how so? Forgive the comment, but double/triple check every power cable is snugly connected. Let me know...
It doesn't power on at all. Outside of the case I laid the mobo on a a cardboard box and connected the ram, cpu, cpu cooler, psu, gpu, and then hooked it up to a monitor. Then I used a screw driver and to touch both of the power pins, and it started up fine. I've gone over every cable multiple times and continuously found that they're nice and
snug. Could something be shorting the mobo?
