Hey guys, my system specs are and a8-5500 apu, evga GeForce gta 750 ti graphics card(the subject or this thread) and a 600 watt bronze rated Vega power supply. Anyway, a few hours after installing my new graphics card, playing on it for most of that time, I realized I didn't screw the cards bracket onto the chassis! The card had managed to wiggle out slightly, and was barely hanging down at a diagonal angle to the slot. I was wondering what the odds are that I may have damaged the card or the slot. I did notice some slowdown on the game I was testing it on, less than 15 fps on the shogun 2 total war demo when zoomed in on units. I know this card is rated to play bf4 on high to ultra settings, so I'm fairly certain it can run shogun 2! I also have the latest drivers available for my card. Could it have been poor optimization on the demos side causing my poor performance? Any help would be greatly appreciated, I have no Idea how tough these thing are, I was really excited to play some new games, but now I'm kind of worried lol

Hello!

Can you give us a better description on how badly the card came out of its position? Any wires, cables loose, etc? (Also, your APU is seriously bottlenecking your graphics card. This means that your card is being VERY held back by your CPU, I recommend an upgrade to a dedicated CPU, like something from the i7 series.)

Maybe almost a centimeter, enough for the card to hang down at about a 160 degree angle. At the time there were no major graphical anomalies (artifacting), and the only reason I even knew it was coming out was because I happens to look inside the case :p  what kind of wires might I be looking for?

Pin connections, that sort of thing. My suggestion is to just make sure it's secure and carry on. Do you have any demanding games, such as Crysis?

No.No.No.No. The 750Ti is an entry/midrange card. It can and will NEVER play BF4 on high. Talk about ultra. Your just being paranoid with the performance drops.

Stay on topic. This ISN'T the place for hardware discussions guys, take it elsewhere.

Lets clear this whole thread up and the pissing contest that's gone on misguided. First off as long as you're socket didn't stretch or warp and neither did the card, and you're not having issues with the card performing then no need to worry.

Second the 750 Ti is an entry level GPU only surpassing the 650 Ti and under the 650 Ti Boost. It will not handle BF4 at high or ultra at a comfortable FPS, if you want to prove me wrong make a video disproving this. It was made to be a lower end GPU for the entry level casual market stop trying to dispute it.

You can find plenty of videos on YouTube of people running bf4/arma 3/ rome 2 on high-ultra. Anyway, thanks for all the help guys, I don't think the card was broken after all, I did return it though so I could put the money towards something else, still deciding, time will tell :)
