3570k@4.7@1.27v

prime95 temps are go between 64-69c

is this ok guys?

btw i don't use an offset so is 1.248v going into my CPU going to hurt it a lot when browsing the web? idle temps are around 26-33.

4.5 should be OK at 1.25 - http://rog.asus.com/184142012/maximus-motherboards/guide-overclocking-the-core-i5-3570k-to-4-5ghz-on-the-maximus-v-gene/

Your temps sound OK though. How long you run Prime 95? Tried Intel burn?

What cooler and motherboard you using?

yeah i ran IBT for 15 runs it passed but temps went to high 70's and i saw a 83c when doing that but realistically nothing will ever push my CPU that hard...ever.

Also my chip only need 1.85v for 4.5ghz.

asrock extreme 6 and h105

ran IBT for 15 runs and been running prime on blend test for around 2-3 hours now

my temps on average on prime are about 64-66

Gee - good chip then!

the volts i have pumping in my CPU aren't going to hurt it much right? i don't plan on upgrading till skylake comes out so ;p.

think i read somewhere i won't cause damage until i go past 1.35

Thanks, I'm pretty sure it will always stay below 60c even when my GPU is running hot. So from all the info i've provided, do you think my CPU will last till skylake comes around?

Hard to say. All I can say is that it a very good overclock at safe levels. Whether it survives is up in the air. I don't know when Skylake will be released. And there are other factors involved in the CPU not working than an overclock. Personally, I've not had a CPU die due to an overclock.

by "running the overclock" do you mean my chip running at 4.7 all the time @load temps?
