More about motherboard gaming
  1. The motherboard really does not govern gaming like a CPU or GPU do and those are simular class boards so select on looks or price.
  2. i think Asrock Z97 Fatality Killer is made for gaming. Every manufacturer has its gaming series, msi gaming 7, asrock fatality, asus gene-hero,gigabyte gaming etc... I bought msi gaming 7 myself. Great board.

The Extreme 6 the Z97 Killer does not support SLI you would need this version Z97X Killer http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813157505&nm_mc=AFC-C8Junction&cm_mmc=AFC-C8Junction-_-na-_-na-_-na&cm_sp=&AID=10446076&PID=3938566&SID=
