Hey everyone,
I have an AMD Phenom II X6 1055t and I want to buy a better GPU.
I was thinking about buying a GeForce GTX 660 Ti
I was wondering if my CPU is bottleneck my GPU?
And also, what would be the best 660 Ti to buy? I am buying a new GPU just for gaming purposes, and i dont know which one to buy,ASUS Gigabyte or MSI?
And also,i have a 500W PSU (ASN GT-ATX 500W PSU)

Thanks in advance :D :D :D :D :D

No bottleneck here. I prefer gigabyte for their windforce cooler if you can find this version. 500w psu is enough, but this is not a quality psu, so have that in mind and replace it before next upgrade. Xfx core 550w or greater would be nice as long as you dont go sli or crossfire.

It is better than your current one, but it is not a top quality. Still, as long as you dont go sli or crossfire, coolermaster will be way better than your current one. But if you can, get xfx core 550w for a single graphics card, or xfx/seasonic/antec 850w for dual cards if you ever choose to go this way.

I couldnt find the XFX Core 550W available in my country. I found Seasonic SS 620W.
But my current PSU should be enough for the 660 Ti?

I have a Phenom 2 x4 965BE OC'ed to 4.2ghz and I have TWO 660ti's in SLI and I only have a tiny bottleneck in games that don't like AMD CPUs, but nothing really noticeable. I will be getting an 8320 soon though.

Your CPU is a bit worse than mine, but with a solid overclock it will be fine for anything up to a gtx770 or so.

Your PSU, as stated, is not good. Replace it with an Antec, XFX, Seasonic unit.

Also, because the 660ti is a generation old, do not pay more than $170 USD for one. What is your budget and country for the GPU?

I found a Seasonic SS 620W that costs 77 euros (110 dollars) and a Seasonic SS 750W that costs 102 euros ( lil bit lower than 150 dollars). Those 2 seem good but I dont know which one to buy.
Also,i dont think my mobo can support overclocking...my mobo is Gigabyte GA-M52LT-D3..this 1055t has 2.8 GHz..i dunno maybe it can...

Get the cheaper one. 620w is way more than enough.

I would not overclock on that motherboard. Just leave it stock. Should still be perfectly fine with a single 660ti or the like.
