Hi, I just bought my new gaming PC today but when I connected the HDMI cable, the monitor simple says "no signal", so I tried with the VGA cable and the same thing happened. All the lights and fans turn on.
I tested the monitor by plugging in the HDMI cable from my laptop to the monitor and everything displays alright.
I am positive there's nothing wrong with the build itself because I asked the shop I bought the parts from to help me build it and they showed me the BIOS on their monitor for me to check that all the parts were the ones I paid for.
I have a Viewsonic 23” VX2370SMH IPS LED monitor
MSI motherboard with ASUS GPU
Am I really blur and missing something very obvious or is there a fix to this problem? Appreciate the help and thank you in advance!

I don't know about view sonic but my samsung has a remote and I have to select the input device with the remote for the monitor to see the signal have you tried that? If it works on another monitor then it is not the computer it is the monitor not getting the signal or you have not selected the computer input signal

When there is no display, there maybe some problem with the ram or mobo or even a faulted hard disk. Since you bought all items recently I don't think there should be any problem with them, but still we can't be sure about anything.

First of all make sure all connections are tight then,
Try this:
Suppose you have 2 rams, there maybe one faulted ram. Remove each of them one by one and try it. Make sure you fit them perfectly into the slot. Also try changing their slots.

If it still doesn't work, there might be a problem with the vga jack or mobo.
